The Sound of Music

     If you love music, and enjoy watching your peers perform, than you should come to the Jazz and Intermediate band concert on May 13^th. The talent filled concert will begin at 7:00 PM and will be held in the auditorium right here at Como Park High School. Music will range from marches to smooth classical jazz tunes, and from formal concert dress worn by the intermediate band, to funky socks and ties, worn by the jazz musicians.

            For the seniors, this will be their very last jazz performance of their high school career. It will be filled with many emotions. Some will be excited to never have to wake up and be at school at 6:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday, and others may be sad that high school jazz performances are over. Although performances may have come to an end, many of the senior musicians will continue on in college, sharing their gifts of music in many ways.

            Put this musical event on your calendar, May 13^th at 7 p.m., and come out to support the high school’s musical department. Jazz music and band music will be followed by refreshments, where the audience will be able to visit with the musicians!
