Chaska is a long ways away. But for a journey with motivated friends nothing is too far. The motivation? Scream Town. This is located on the new Highway 212 East. For only $15 you can experience one of the most frightening and entertaining Halloween attractions in Minnesota. Scream Town has been up and running holding a permanent year after year residence seasonally since June 2008. It is filled with a lot of fun stuff including but not limited to:
Klown House, a maze which will rattle your senses with music that makes you cower and creepy clowns that are around every turn saying and doing frightening things. Terror in the Corn, which is sure to make you rethink ever diving into a corn field again and their newest attraction, which was added specifically for this year, Rabid Alley. This creepy completely pitch-black house of horrors with surely have you wanting to stay close with friends. Don’t wander inside by yourself; you’re sure to get lost. Como Park student Allison Leithauner said, “I had fun, I would definitely go back next year. My favorite was Klown House, It scared the c*!p out of me because I’m a big baby and I get scared easily.” Although a Como Park senior, Lucas, had a different opinion. “It was kind of lame. Rabid Alley was pretty sweet but for Blood Forest they had some sign up and at first I believed it. But the guy who led us into the forest just ruined it.” Haunted houses aren’t for everyone but this thrill ride might be for you. Scream Town is open at 7 PM and stops selling tickets for entry around 10 PM. Scream Town DOES NOT close at 10 but they stop admitting customers. Tickets go on-sale at 7 PM every night. For the most part it is open rain or shine but they update their facebook page and official website (http://www.screamtown.com) regularly with information. Scream Town is frightening Minnesota until Saturday.

(WARNING: If you’re sensitive to strobe lights Klown House may not be for you. But don’t worry. There are plenty of other tricks and treats that this goody bag has in store for you.)
