It is with great sadness that the Como Crier announces the death of one of our own. His presence has been a guide and an inspiration to each member of our small, tight-knit group. I am speaking of Sam Carey’s future. We bid it farewell on November 3, 2009 shortly after the sixteenth time that Mr. Stahlman (fruitlessly) reminded Sam to shut up. This reminder, as all of the others, went unheeded. As a result, well… you know the rest. When you see Sam in the hallway, offer your condolences. His is a future of carwashes and offering “fries with that?” Poor Sam, Poor, poor Sam.

Sam Carey has come a long way from the long haired freshman that first walked through Como’s doors four years ago. With three years of experience with the Como Crier under his belt, he is the most senior member of the current staff. Sam specializes in Arts/Entertainment pieces, and opinion articles; though his breakthrough on the Republicans to Kittens story accurately portrays his dedication to relevant news and current events.
