Spring is here and this year, like all previous years, it included the arrival of spring break. Despite the fact that many of us were looking forward to sleeping in, spending time outside, and hanging out with friends, and possibly getting some schoolwork done; our procrastination and laziness probably had a significant impact in impeding us from achieving our spring goals.
When you think about it, there is nothing truly special about spring, besides the fact that the snow melts and we start getting ready to mow our lawns again.
The weather is crappy, there are no significant holidays, and by the time April is upon us, schools feels like an eternal pit of sadness. We are subjected to extra homework, a considerable amount of stress, and the never ending procession of studying for final exams.
But, whether you accomplished your goals or not, I am here to give you some hope. I am here to tell you that you tried, and that it is okay to not have done as much as you would have liked to. So, with that in mind, I am now going to tell you about a couple of cool things which you could do in order to get the best experience out of your summer break:
Be Active: Get out there and stay active. Go walking with a friend (or with your dog), ride your bike, or perhaps visit the zoo and have a picnic at the park. Or, if the weather is warm enough, go swimming, fishing, or rock climbing.
Be Mature: Get real-world experience and intern somewhere, read, get a job, or clean your room and have a yard sale. All of these things are sure to make you feel good and in the process, earn you some cash.
Be Creative: Let your creativity shine by creating a new type of pizza, camping out in your backyard, starting a garden, or going on a road trip with some friends.
So, whether you plan to do something this summer or not, always remember to be healthy, have fun, and make good choices.
