Mr. Adam Kunz is a teacher with stupendous enthusiasm for education. He began teaching at Como Park in 2007 and is very involved in many aspects of school. He is an English teacher and a football coach. His teaching style was described by a student as “authoritative and humorous, he always brings together the material with a good joke or analogy.”
When Mr. Kunz was in high school he did not have much direction for what he wanted to do for his career. However he did rate himself a full ten out of ten in coolness. He did several sports, including football (center), basketball, and baseball. During this time he started coaching teams and working with children. His first jobs were coaching T-ball, and then basketball for little kids.
In College Mr. Kunz studied very diligently and received a degree in English. After graduating he still didn’t consider his future career to be teaching. But as fate would have it the first job he was offered was a teaching position and the rest is history.
Now Mr. Kunz is an integral part of Como Park and we cannot live without his guidance. He likes the school because it has a small town feel. “You seem to know a lot of the kids.” But these same kids that he likes and has built up a rapport with just don’t read. This is the one compliant he has with the kids and would like to say to the school; “kids need to read.”
Last but not least, if he had any super power he would want mind control so he could be like the Jedi. Then he would be able to impart his will upon other people and make them do whatever he wants. So anybody who wants to mess with Mr. Kunz, watch out because he may try to control your mind. But wait is that not what all teachers do?
