There is a clinic here at Como. And at the clinic there are some new staff, one of them being Jonathan Oppeheimer. He is the new health educator replacing Anne Rutledge.

Jon explained why he got into this career path and some of the services the clinic provides. He was in college when he decided to become a health educator. This was when he joined a student group called “Sex Out Loud” where he talked to students and people in the community about sex.

While doing this he realized that people really listened when someone was talking about sex (who would have guessed it). He found that it was an excellent way to teach people and help everyone become more aware of sex and its impact.

Now he is the health educator at Como. Offering many different counseling needs he feels very strongly about helping teenagers and discussing life issues. He wants to help because out of any group adolecents have the least access to health services.

Everyone should know the services which clinic does provide. First off, everything is free and everything said is completely confidential. Services include Birth Control/Condoms, STD Testing (including HIV), Flu shots (and a variety of other shots), Physicals, Nutrition Counseling, Athletic Trainer, and any other type of counseling concerning any issues in your life.

Come sign up for an appointment now, it will be well worth your time.
